Newman Transit 2073-2104 are Tatra T6A5 streetcars built in 1991-1997. Originally purchased by a small town in Slovakia, they were put in storage in 1995 after the company closed down and purchased by Newman Transit in 1996. 2095-2104 were ordered prior to the company shutting down and were picked up by Newman in February 1996.

As built, none of the fleet had air-conditioning, with the exception of 2095-2104 which had air-conditioning for the operator (odd-numbered units only). The fleet was outfitted with passenger A/C in 2000 – however, no additional units received A/C units for the operator's cab.

Cars 2079-2080 were fitted withBrecknell-Willis half pantographs instead of the traditional Lekov pantograph.
